Cycling is a recreation and a sport you can participate in with a bike hike or simply take a leisurely bike ride.

In the Sultanate of Oman and elsewhere in the world there is a growing awareness that cycling is a fun, healthy, and non-polluting activity. That is why our cycling network is being laid along city streets and on minor country roads, woodland paths, lanes, the beach front and the likes.

We are the country’s leading tour operator with the largest group of people on bikes. Our mission is ‘to make cycling enjoyable, safe and welcoming for all.’ Check on our recommended routes for both children and adults. If you are a sport cyclist, we can arrange for you to participate in the weekly challenges organized by the local Sport Cycling Club .

Kite flying is one of the easiest hobbies to learn. With just a little practice and a slight breeze, anyone can launch a homemade or bought kite with ease. Larger kites require a little more knowledge and understanding.

Bocce is a precision sport closely related to bowls and pétanque with a common ancestry from ancient games played in the Roman Empire. Developed into its present form in Italy, it is played around Europe and also in overseas countries.

Pétanque is a form of boules where the goal is to throw metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (piglet). The game is normally played on hard dirt or gravel, but can also be played on grass or other surfaces.

Pétanque is generally associated with southern France, particularly Province, from where it originates.

Croquet is a recreational game and, latterly, a competitive sport that involves hitting wooden or plastic balls with a mallet through hoops embedded into the grass playing arena.

The game was apparently invented in Ireland in the 1830’s and taken to England as a pastime of the aristocracy in the 1850’s.
